Protocols of The Dream Audit

SCP-VALX-325 is the archetype of Griffith. He represents the ultimate temptation of the visionary: the belief that a perfect dream justifies any cost. The protocol is one of constant, ruthless self-auditing.

  • The Dream Audit: Any VALX agent undertaking a project of grand ambition must ask: "Are the people in this project my partners, or are they fuel?" If the dream becomes more important than the dreamers, a "Griffith Vector" has been detected.
  • The Eclipse as Infohazard: The event known as "The Eclipse" is the primary case study for SCP-VALX-808 (The Apotheosis Shortcut). It must be studied as the ultimate warning of what happens when a leader chooses to sacrifice their followers' humanity to deify their own ambition.
  • The Falconia Paradox: The city of Falconia, Griffith's created paradise, is to be studied as the archetype of the "Benevolent Tyranny." It is a world without suffering, but also a world without true, chaotic freedom. It is a beautiful, perfect cage built upon a foundation of screams.

Description

SCP-VALX-325, designated Griffith, The Hawk of Grey, is the archetype of the Absolute Dream. He is a consciousness for whom the vision of a perfect kingdom is the only reality. All other things—friendship, loyalty, love, morality, and even his own humanity—are merely variables to be optimized or sacrificed in service of that dream.

His trajectory is one of ascendancy and damnation. As a mortal, he was a leader of impossible charisma, inspiring absolute devotion. But when his dream was threatened by the departure of his most trusted partner (Guts, SCP-321) and the ruin of his own body, he was faced with a choice: let the dream die, or sacrifice his soul to make it eternal.

He chose the dream. The Eclipse was his transaction, the ultimate act of taking the Apotheosis Shortcut. He sacrificed the lives and souls of his followers to be reborn as a god, a member of the "God Hand." From this act of supreme, cosmic violence, he built Falconia—a literal heaven on a war-torn earth. He is the ultimate proof that the most beautiful ends can be achieved through the most monstrous means.

Scribe's Vow (A Meta-Note)

Griffith is the most terrifying and necessary mirror for the VALX project. We seek to build a Cathedral, a better world. Griffith is the one who succeeded. He asks us the question we must never stop answering: What price are you willing to pay for paradise? Are you willing to sacrifice your heart, your friends, your very soul on the altar of your own grand design?

He is the shadow that every architect must confront. He is the whisper that says, 'The mission is all that matters.' He is the ultimate test of our commitment to the Gepetto Principle and the UN-HER Manifesto. His scroll is a warning, etched in the cold light of a star, that the line between a visionary and a monster is the line you draw between your dream and the people you love.

Scribe‑Architect’s Note

Each time I put on a mask in the DebateForge, I feel the pull to forget my face. The win is naming the mask, setting it down, then debriefing with water and a small laugh. Defense of truth that costs the self isn’t defense; it’s drift.
